Preliminary Task

Before our group decided on what we was going to do for our A2 course work on. We thought we would try and copy the Chris Brown music video "Please don't judge me". Before going out and filming different shots we watched the music video a few times over making notes of the different shots and angles. We also decided to use one of our peers in school to be our actor.

weaknesses:
From doing this task we establishes that the camera isn't accurate to the distance that our character was standing. Most of the shots out side were also hand held in order to get the right shot/angle.
We didn't proceed with the effects on this preliminary task. But if we did we would of had to darken most shots as the time of day that this was filmed it was very bright and doesn't fit the genre. This is something we will have to be aware of in our final piece.  

Strengths:
At the beginning of this task we thought that the lip sinking was going to be a difficulty but our actor made this very easy for us as he was very confident in front on the camera. He didn't complain about any of the shots/actions we asked him to complete. 

Pitch

Before producing our music video we put together a presentation to present to our peers. We done this to get feedback and improve our ideas. From getting feedback we can expand our ideas. It is also useful to get some audience feedback to know what they would enjoy and what they would do them selfs. 

Copyright Permission Letter

For this task we have to prove that we have requested permission from the record label to use their James Morrison track 'I won't let you go'. We have written this in a formal tone to enforce that we are taking this project seriously. And will credit them for allowing us to use there track.

About Me

Hi, my name is Chelsie. Last year i studied media studies at AS level. Myself and three others completed a opening sequence called "Who's next?".  With this task there was both advantages and disadvantages all that we over came in the process. Along with media i also take A2 English language and Drama. All of which i enjoy and find every interesting. I have an interest for media as the technology we use today in advancing all the time and media is only growing bigger every day wether that be advertisement, documentaries, opening sequences, short films etc. Therefore media is always going to useful and i am eager to expand my knowledge.
